You have probably heard this all over the Interweb’s by now, but it looks like the BlackBerry Tour 2, or 9650, will now be a part of the Bold family of BlackBerry phones.  Here is my take on this, and you tell me what you think. This has nothing to do with spec’s, carriers, or even design.  It has to do with marketing.  From a marketing standpoint if you bought a Tour 9630, and not 1 year, but less then 1 year later, an updated model with a faster processor, trackpad, and wifi came out and it was labeled “2″, you would be mad.  BUT… the average person will walk into a VZ or Sprint store very soon, see the Bold 9650 with “different” features then the Tour and say “hey, thats a nice smartphone.”  Not, “Wait, its the Tour 2?? But the first Tour just came out!?! ZOINKS!!?!”  There ya go…
