Breaking Rumor: Epic To Show Off Unreal Engine 4 At E3 2012

by Bryan Bellino - on Jan 30th 2012 - No Comments

How about a pretty big rumor to start off your Monday?  Epic Games, the folks behind the very successful Gears of War trilogy, also license one of the most popular game engines that many other developers use.  The Unreal Engine 3 is the engine that powers many many games, such as the Bioshock series.  Unreal Engine 3, from its infancy, looked great and since than it has grown and developed pretty much as far as it will go.

The next phase for Epic is of course the Unreal Engine 4, and thanks to two anonymous emails, both within the same weekend, we are thinking this could be real.  Both sources are telling us that Epic plans on taking the lid off of UE4, along with possibly some game footage, at E3 this year.  Epic has already said that UE4 will only be used on next generation consoles and hardware, so the possibility of Microsoft announcing the next Xbox is starting to become more and more real.

I for one am crazy super excited to see what happens at E3 this year.

Thanks A and A!

Tutorial: How To Use Your Xbox 360 Cloud Storage To Save Games

by Krista - on Jan 19th 2012 - 2 Comments

With the latest Xbox 360 dashboard comes cloud storage, something many Xboxer’s (Yes I just made that up) are glad to see.  If you have more than one Xbox 360 console or you want to play games at a friend’s house, you can store your saved games in the cloud (on the Xbox LIVE servers).  Because your saved game is stored in the cloud, you can continue playing a game on a different console, right from where you left off.  We have the entire step by step tutorial, including a short FAQ, after the break.

Note Your Xbox LIVE profile does need to be on multiple consoles. For information on how to download your Xbox LIVE profile to another console, please see Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile. (more…)

Poll: The Odds That RIMM Will Be Sold in 2012

by Krista - on Jan 17th 2012 - 1 Comment

Rumors of RIMM looking to get bought have been going on for months, if not even longer in private within the company.  Everyone knows they are in trouble.  With a failed BlackBerry OS 7 device launch and lineup to the Playbook having all sorts of fail, lined up with the news that its likely only one BlackBerry 10 device at some point in the future, whenever that may be, put them in the “high risk factor” for investors.

We ask you guys and gals, do you think that RIM will be sold off, either partially or fully this year?

Will RIMM be sold in 2012?
